When words are inadequate
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
This week we got to visit with dear friends of ours who abandoned us relocated to the Chicago area. We have known each other since our soon-to-be-high-schoolers were in preschool. They are the kind of friends who stick by your side through thick and thin. I love telling them our family is growing, because they ALWAYS respond with love and support!
They have three beautiful daughters; Gabrielle, Anna, and Julia. Their middle daughter Anna is very gifted with theatrical talents, and yet, I am always impressed with her humility. During our visit, she walked up and handed me a card. I could barely see through my tears to read it as I was so touched. Anna decided that instead of receiving gifts at her 13th birthday party, she would ask all her friends to donate toward Maddie's adoption. They donated $210! It was truly one of the most touching and selfless things I have ever experienced.
Thank you, sweet Anna! I pray God blesses your kindness toward Maddie and our family. I know I will treasure your gesture in my heart forever.

It is not hard to to understand why God has told us we need to have childlike faith. Beautiful!
Now I am a weepy mess. I'm not sure why this touched me so deeply, but it did. Beautiful. And a big "Amen" to that scripture at the beginning of your post.
What a beautiful young woman with a beautiful soul!
What a beautiful young woman with an even more beautiful soul!
