A few months ago Maddie had a sleep study, and she was diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea. ENT recommended surgery to remove her tonsils and adenoids, as well as insert ear tubes as she frequently has fluid in her ears. The procedure required at least a one night hospital stay. Maddie was a trooper! She drank two apple juices and a popsicle before we even left recovery for her room. She was an excellent patient, but it's a painful two week recovery. We made sure to provide plenty of ice cream, water ice, and slushees. She is now back to school and her energetic self!
